COVID 19
Response to Coronavirus – 14th March 2020
Can Training Ltd wishes to offer a proportionate and realistic response to the outbreak of Coronavirus.
We have a responsibility towards our customers and their service users and to our staff and their families and each other.
‘Acting too soon could have a negative impact’ was the phrase used by Public Health England on Thursday. There are further discussions going on all the time.
Our instruction to our team, from today -14th March 2020- is that face to face visits to customers premises and workplaces CEASE until May 1st2020 and we will review then .
Some of the settings our staff visit have people with underlying health conditions and they must be safe.
Some of the settings have people who are in the older age risk bracket and they must be protected.
Front line staff need to be fit and well in order to deliver vital services and they must not be unnecessarily exposed to this.
Learner Progress :
There is no need to panic here. We have Go to Meeting – an on- line portal where learners and assessors can meet and talk. This is the first choice for continuing assessment and discussion with learners. All is needed is an email address to invite them to a planned session at a planned time on- line. Progress/ contact will be straightforward and should not impact on you at all.
We will review this Action Plan again on May 1st2020 and keep you informed.
